I found this item in a church yard dating back to the early 1900's. I believe it is some kind of a stamp. It is gold in color and has he initials "W. W." on it. I have not yet been able to successfully clean the underside of the top to see if there is a makers mark of some kind. Any help on its identification will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for looking.

Did this seal come out of the ground this clean? Judging by the pics, it looks to be gold. Have you had it tested? It could be M.M.

I would have to agree that it is a fob watch seal! Thanks for the help. It did come out of the ground shining like that and I will have to get it tested. However, if it is gold I'm quite certain it is only plated because it appears to have been worn off on some edges.

I could agree to it being a Fob, but don't think it's a seal. Just a flat surface suitable for Engraving, and in this case, they Engraved MM or WW. Here's a similar one I found online, and you can see that it is engraved normally, not "mirror image", as would be required to be used for a seal.
