Good morning everyone,

I had a question about a couple of stones I found around a small river running through my fathers woods. Do these look water carved to you? I have not really seen stones like this in North West CT.

The one almost looks like the stone formed around something, or melted around it. The other looks like a cap to something. The cap looking one I could see being formed by the water, it's just so uniform looking, which has me second guessing.

Anyone seen stuff like this before? Nature is cool 8-)

I'm not familiar with your area but it could be water that made those formations especially because your by a river, water is the most destructive force on earth, water carved out the grand canyon, it could also have been formed like that by volcanic activity so with me your basically back where you started with your question lol, I'm thinking volcanically formed but don't take it to the bank. Nature is Awesome, especially Rocks and Reptiles :tongue3::thumbsup:
