Ouch...to much for me but I'm a cheapo...

Well that's what I, looking asking, what be a price you would say would be reasonable now,idohave20.00 in the handle, little more than shovel but this on for post hole diggers, little over of a foot of PVC,and a quart of resin which was almost 20,then going thru the effort of putting it together,I needed one and I wanted a long handle and at the same time have no metal so I could run my scoop under the detector

Somebody else might pay that IDK I really don't beach detect enough to invest that much in any scoop...

I made one like that used it for 7 or 8 months before I found a deal on a metal scoop and still use it as my backup or for friends. They come out very sturdy the PVC is plenty tough for digging in wet sand. I stay in the dry so just used a broom handle which cuts down on the weight quite a bit and used a four inch drain cap glued into the back. Do you have screen in the back? My handle runs right down the back with a bolt through the handle at the middle of the drain cap but using resin you can angle the handle back 20 or 30 degrees. Very nice and the price is reasonable for the time and materials used.
