Got out this morning to the site where I found the 1600s Bawbee. Found another old copper that I put on the what is it forum. Found as many watches as I did buttons. Had a fun morning. There are pics of the copper before and after electrolysis. Good luck to all. Art. I think this screen shot is what I found

Congrats Art! :occasion14:
Some interesting finds you got there. Pretty good day out.
Those watches are really neat! The one on the left looks like it was frozen in time 100 years or so.... sweet.
That coin does look a lot like the pic you found... that is a really old token!

Excellent and historic copper - I'm not a fan of electrolysis on coppers, but I'd say that was certainly the way to go on that one.

After 30 yrs. of detecting, I've often wished that I had kept all of the old pocket watches I had found, I would now liked to have cleaned them up as well as possible, and in a display case or frame, would have been a most interesting conversation piece. Really like that copper.

Congrats on the watches and copper.

Always liked finding a pocket watch as they're such personal type of a find over a coin even.

This hobby just never ceases to amaze. Excellent "walk"!

That KG token is AWESOME! Congrats bud! Never seen one of those.

Nice finds, Art! Love the old copper, I've never saw one of those. Recently I found a nice, silver plated pocket watch at an 1850 permission, and the property owner just happens to collect pocket watches...and was super excited when I gave it to him. While it was heavily corroded, and everything inside was frozen together, the face with the numbers and the hands plus a few other pieces were salvageable, actually like new somehow. Art, congrats on a great hunt..Ddf

Wow, even underwater I have never seen three pocket watches found in a day. Awesome Art

Super hunt....Congrats !!

You consistently find such awesome stuff!!

I love the gilted watch face, would look great in a display. I, too, had never seen that token before. What a great little history lesson it gives. "The Church of England is the foundation of our Peace?" Educational and darn cool this side of the Atlantic.
