Washer Mat

I slapped together a little finishing sluice to try out some of Gold Hog's washer mats. Dang that stuff works pretty good! As usual I made a little review to document my testing.

that looks like one of Docs newer matts. Im using 3 of Docs matts on my 2 inch dredge and yet haven't had a chance to get out to try it! I cant wait to see how it works in my dredge!

Ya its one of the newer ones released earlier this year. Doc sent me a sample to test out, but it took me a couple months to get at it. The video is of my first and second runs with the mat. No fuss just set it up like they said and instant success. I would be lying if I said I wasnt impressed.

I have some Doc sent out too. What angle and water flow are you using? I am making a 5" cleanup sluice with 5 pieces of washer mat. Going to run it with a 600 gph bilge pump, maybe 11 degree angle? Looking forward to trying it out!

Thats pretty much what I was doing. I didn't have my angle finder with me so I guessed at it. Mine is 6" wide with an 800 gph pump. It does work pretty well, have fun!
