For starters I have been a treasure hunter for over 30 yrs. and love it as the rewards are remarkable some of the time and the exercise is knee killing yet keeps the waist trim.

As you can see I'm not a big poster on the forum, as I spend most of my time treasure hunting. My wife and I were fortunate enough to retire in our late 40's from the Blue Oval and GM. 5 yrs. prior to me retiring from skilled trades I built a motorcycle - machine shop. I really like working when I want, since I start working in my shop at 3 am, and finish my day at 11 am. That gives me ample time to go hunting until supper time.
I have recently expanded my shop capabilities to manufacturing custom knobs for detectors and a vast array of custom diggers. Hey enough about me. What I am about to post is the summary of my hunting from May 2010 until Dec 10 2010. Unfortunately here in northern Ohio by the lake we experience a snow effect and NW winds from the lake is bone chilling. Yet I continued to hunt into December even though it was in mid 20's and NW winds 20-30 mph with 2 ins. of snow. Reason being was my Father passed away Dec 3rd this yr and I had to get out alone to deal with it. When I hunt it's like I'm in another dimension, anxiously awaiting what the ground or water has in store for me. The pictures I am about to post stem from 3 different areas that I clobbered this season. One in particular I would drive 240 miles each way, but the rewards were worth it. As you will note I didn't actually weigh my finds on my gram scale, as it wasn't until yesterday I realized that there was a year end post forum, that's why I never posted daily finds since I would hunt 5-8 hrs daily weather permitting. All I usually would read were the today's find and cache hunting. This site has something for everyone. I will admit that I made the Annual 2010 finds magazine here, so this yr I focused more intently on my hunting technique and different treasures I sought. Also I would like it noted that I found 135 silver coins including mercs, rosies and quarters and 2 kennedy halves, but didn't post as I wanted to post my best finds. Posted the vast amout of clad since it was recovered in a 4 week period in one park.
I hope you enjoy seeing my finds this year as much as I did finding them. I have labeled all the photos so you can see the specifics of what the pictures are about. Any questions, I will do my best to answer.
Merry Christmas to you all and have a great New Year, oh and Happy Hunting!!!

Thanks, my knees and back sure feel it...LOL

You sure dug a lot of modern coins and some beautiful jewelry! I am curious about the 1824 Half and several of the silver commemorative coins. They seem a little out of context with the rest of your finds. Were they found in the same area, and if so, do you think someone got into daddy's coin collection?

Nice rings and looks like they had some nice stones in them also!!

The capped bust and commemorative coins were found in 3 different places approx. 250 miles apart.

If you look at the bottom of each picture, I have described each diamond rings KT and CT. They range from 1/4 ct to the monster 2-1/2 ct solitaire.
HAPPY HUNTING

Hey Kevin,
It was good talking to you today. I see what you mean about your annual finds this year. Way to go man. :hello2:

Mike
It was great speaking to you also. It was quite refreshing to speak to someone that can finally get things done with warranty work from Minelab. Let me know about the issue with your shovel. I'm sure the solution I discussed over the phone with you will indeed surpass your expectations. :icon_thumleft: Glad I could help. Happy Hunting

What a show
