Catchy title, eh? I thought the finds here were pretty OK. Just some stuff I have saved up. Since I don't get the cool stuff all that often I save them up because I scan the images, access the desktop with the laptop, then edit and post them. It really can be quite a hassle, so, I just save 'em up.

Up first is the Warrior = Bullets found at Camp Logan. I hit a new spot there today and dug up some older 60s model pennies and some Freedom tokens. Most likely for a game room, since, they had "No Cash Value" embossed upon the back. A little help here with the white colored bullet. I know what I think it is, but, since I am not familiar with these I won't say. If anyone knows, feel free to school me on it. The second is also unknown to me.
Next we have the Oddities = A little cap, which, is quite heavy for what it is. I am pretty sure it isn't silver. Interesting design though. I have no clue as to it's identity. There is also this strange little triangle thing that has a threaded post on the back about 1/2 inch long. Also a shiny little chain. Doubt if is is silver either, but, finds are finds. Better something than nothing.
Let us move on to Religion = Two little crosses. The shooter token in the middle is the size of a Merc. Found them stuck back to back in the chips. Nothing of value here. Just aluminum.
Last, but, certainly not least is the Fate = There is a story with that though. I usually go out hunting at night. That's the only time I find silver. I have said that numerous times that I only find silver at night. I got started one evening with the decision to dig everything non-iron. The rain had come the day before and a little the day off this find so digging was going to be a breeze. I dug many pulltabs that night. I also carried spare batteries in my pocket. Two of them. In the same pocket. Does anyone see where I am going with this?
After a longtime of detecting and squatting and bending and detecting I noticed that my right leg felt a little warm. I thought, 'did I wet myself over the excitement of finding all these dang pulltabs, (PT) on my machine"? No, surely not. What was that? I reached into my pocket and felt these batteries that were really hot.
How did that happen, you might wonder. Well, earlier in the evening I had a problem. See at night when your target comes out of the hole you hand-scan a handfull at a time, right? Well, after the second time of me hand-scanning all the way down to the last pinch of dirt in my LEFT hand I realized I needed to remove my ring. Into the pocket it went, shorted the battery terminals together and proceeded to burn the piss out of my leg.
Well, by now I am ticked off because I am covered in mud, my back hurts from bending, my healing toe hurts from squatting, and now I have a burn mark to tote around. OK, no more whining. I'll just go over to the soccer field and scan there for a bit where I can also get ants from out of nowhere crawling up my machine and onto my arm and proceed to become and insect's midnight snack (23 ant bites). Now my arm and my leg are burning and I think I ought to go home. Nah, what the hell, I'll suck it up and go on.
So I did, I scanned the chips a bit and pulled up this nice little "M" pendant. The back is printed with Avery Ster. Good enough for me right? "M" for mine. "M" for Mike. "M" for maybe I'll just scan some more. Now that's what I call "having your name on it".
So on the way back to the truck I kicked a tree to get some of the mud off my STEEL TOE boots. Not hard enough. So I kicked the hell out of the tree (without thinking) and smashed my still healing busted toe compactly into the end of that steel toe. OUCH. So I limped back over to the truck and decided to hit the sidewalk near it. I got nothing. As I was standing up I turned and twisted my knee, it buckled and I almost fell to my death upon the parking lot. Bruised and sore I got back into the truck and headed home.
I hit that same park yard again the following night, in the mud. Why do we do this? I am going to get even with that park if it is the last thing I do. OR the first thing I do depending upon which day of the week I hit it again.
