I have listed this Col Tim pinback several times. It is from the 1930's.

Well it finealy sold last night and I just could not find it. This little 1 ounce item could not possibly be dangerious. it is if you accidently knock off a Big Bang cast iron canon off a shelf and it lands on one toe of my foot. STOP LAUGHING!!

I don't know what is worse not finding a $15 sale of my swollen black and blue toe.

Sorry no pics of my foot.

Well I can laugh, because I also have a black and blue toe! By the looks of it, I'm pretty lucky I didn't break it. Happened two days ago when I was in a hurry to catch a phone call and there was a pillar between me, my foot, and the phone, ....and man did I smoke that thing good.

that cannon looks like one i had as a kid

Did you ever find the lost item?

Bummer about the button. Hope you find it again. I had a near miss with this kind of situation a couple of years ago. I was going through some of my old books and came across this:

That ticket is from the very first baseball game played in Anaheim stadium. I went to that game and kept the ticket. I lost track of it for years and then found it in a book. It is in perfect condition. I took some photos of it preparing to list it on ebay and then put it aside intending to do the listing later. Just before I started the listing, I went to get it so I knew exactly where it was as I fully expected it to sell right away for a pretty good price. I can't find it for the life of me. I suppose some day it will turn up again.

I haven't dropped anything on my foot lately but I sold a small, less than 2 inch, 1920's nude photo a while back. It ended up selling at the end of the week. Had to refund the seller his $20 and change. After I listed it, I put it in a book to flatten it out some because it was in real rough shape. I was in the middle of multi tasking and didn't pay much attention as to what book I put it in. To this day I have not found that photo. Then there was the time I sold a piece of glass and it broke while packing, but that's another story.

nude photo.....I put it in a book
I bet you sold that book, wonder what that person did when he found the bookmark.

I still have not found the pin. I stopped looking after the accident. I am sure it is at least cracked. My wife wanted me to go to Kaiser. I am not going to some doctor so he can tell me to take it easy for a while. What will they do put a tiny cast on it? It actually feels better now walking around with shoes on.

you always had it rough dan: you got a hernia from carrying bags of cents. You got ike-itis from all the ike dollars. And now this! Even after all these horrors, you still are the man. I want everyone reading this thread to take a minute to appreciate how cyberdan has taken more wounds treasure-hunting than any one else on this site.

I hate when I can't find something I sold. There's been times I've search for it for hours and finally comes up. I bought off-line these double sided jewelry bags in order to keep organized everything I have listed. So that way if it's the size of a pin necklace or bracelet once I listed online it goes on these bags.

They were only couple dollars online and they've proved to be pretty helpful they hang on a hook in the closet. I had to get a second one but I love them.

I sold an $8 book a few weeks ago, along with some other stuff. I got everything together, started packaging, when I seen, the book person paid with an E-check. So I sat the book aside and waited for the check to clear.

I had to give that lady her $8 back! LOL! She was very nice about it, I felt like an idiot!
I STILL have not found that book! :BangHead:

Dan, is you're prone to gout, take some gout meds if you got them. It seems to usually start/flare with a bump or bang to that big toe!
The turkey and wine may not help it any either. Sorry you got hurts.
