Went down the road to an 1800 home that I have been working for the last week. Mostly wheaties and a few Indians up to today. Found a very nice 1816 large cent and what I believe is a war of 1812 Navy button. It is very small as you can see from the scan, only 7/16 of an inch in diameter. One piece with a lot of guilt still on it. Any help on IDing the button would be appreciated. My books show similar ones for the British navy up to 1812 and for the US navy during the war of 1812. Thanks...Lance
