I recently moved back to Winchester, the house we are renting was built in 1964 so i was hoping to find some silver. On my second hole i dug a 1944 p war nickel. The next weekend i went out for an hour and dug a three ringer, my first. Yesterday my cousin and i went to the Boyce property after work and tried up around the house no old coins but i did dig a nice coat sized two piece button with a bear on it. The back marks say "wadhams & co. Superfine". And what i think is a shoe buckel. Its about 1.5 inches by 1 inch. Thanks for looking and HH.

That bear button is a neat dig. Any ideas as to what it is from ie what it represents and how old do you think I might be

Sportsman buttons are getting very popular. That is a cool find. Looks like the stuff I have been diggin lately.

Well, I can tell ya if the back reads wadhams & co. It is definately 1847. Looks like ya got a old spot there. Congrats.

Thanks. Its a real awesome place. Tons of old stuff and nice coins.

Well that's no shoe buckle, that's the back of a padlock! seen that style a lot on here.
