I was thinking essentially the same thing. My thought was perhaps pegmatite which is basically granite but the "grains" are much larger. Pegmatite is composed of the same minerals as granite, feldspar, quartz and mica but as I said, the grains are much larger. Pegmatite veins occur within granite and may contain semiprecious gem stones. Cool rock.

Resized the photos. Now that I can see them better, I really like those rocks. Do you collect from different areas of the country when you're on trips? I do, and its a fun thing to do...another hobby.

No, my Aunt Sandy just gives them to me sometime. Sometimes i find them. ill post more tomarrow.

Do you travel in an RV? Are you full timers? I would like to ask some qeastions about the road. Because that is are plan.

No we don't. But, there are people on here who do ! If you ask nicely I bet you' d get alot of your questions answered! ;D
