Hi, I have this vintage watch from my Mom when she passed away years ago. It's been in my drawer since then. (one of many things)

It is dirty and needs a good cleaning. I was just wandering if it is worth anything. It may be a mans watch from one I seen on the net. So it could of been my grandfathers. Thanks for any guidance to find the value and any info on the watch (year etc).

The black mark by the 12 on the gold part is dirt. It needs a professional cleaning. (Band is leather and dry stiff.)

FYI: I just read that the first of the Quartz started in the late 60's. So if that is true, it couldn't of been my Grandpa's watch, so scratch that thought. I'm just trying to mainly find the history of the watch. Thanks for any help!

Your watch is a reissue of the Waltham wristwatches classic designs they made from the 1940s and in to the 1950s. It would have a battery op.quartz movement unlike the classic watches with 17, 19 & 21 jewel mechanical movements. They produced these type of watches with in the last 15 to 20 years?. You may get $25. to $35. for it on ebay I would think? ?

Hey TR, you've some 'old pocket watch' knowledge?

Thanks for the information everyone. I figured it was a remake after I read that the company closed down before they made Quartz watches and that other companies has the rights to use the Waltham logo on them. But, it is a keepsakes!
