Detector(s) used
Fishers CZ5 and 1280X
One of my other loves along with detecting. So many ideas in mind, they are backing up on me.

The big eagle was my first one(lots of burnings on it). The canoe is black birch, debarked, painted like white birch.

Fawns foot is sassafrass. Smaller eagle being worked.

Great sticks WV...how long does it take you to make one?
Tough question to answer. I work on them a little at a time. The big eagle is maple, very hard to carve. Much time spent burning all the feathers and other eagles (7) in it. Estimate 60+ hours in it.

Thanks to all for looking!

Absolutely stunning. I do hiking sticks too, just don't know how to carve. I love the fawn's foot one, now we do have sassafras trees here, I will have to try my luck with that type of wood.

I really like carving the fawns foot. I cut it completely through, between the toes, so it's as realistic as possible.

Sassafrass is fun to work, has a soft center, so you have to work around it. Fawns foot is perfect for it. I do most of the work with small files.

Awesome job on those, I am impressed!!!! You have a real talent there and it shows in your work!!!! ;)
