Our current adminstration is giving military hardware by the billions of of dollars including state of the art fighters and jets to the Muslim Brotherhood who are in power in Egypt.
Giving aid to the enemy is treason, yet we are giving them the weapons to kill our own people.....
WAKE UP AMERICA!
Egyptian Politicians Are Openly Talking About War With America
America has a long history of naively dumping weapons and cash onto corrupt regimes that later decide they hate us. In the 80s, for example, we supported the Afghanistan rebels. One of those rebels went by the name of “Osama bin Laden”.
Now, we’ve been giving billions in foreign aid, Abram’s tanks, and F-16 fighter jets to the government of Egypt, which is unstable at best. We’re even giving tear gas so they can stop protests against their tyranny.
This means the chances of a group that doesn’t like us coming into power is absurdly possible. That’s why it’s disconcerting when we see influential politicians meeting with Egyptian President Morsi say that America is the “enemy” and that a “war” with America isn’t out of the question if certain *disputes went south.
Here’s a quote, emphasis mine, obviously:
“I’m very fond of battles.*With the enemies, of course – with America and Israel, but this battle must be waged with maximum judiciousness and calm. Even though*this is a secret meeting, we must all take an oath not to leak anything to the media, unless it is done officially by sister Pakinam [el-Sharkawy, a Morsi aide]. We need an official plan for popular national security, even if we…*
Okay… Fine… The principles behind what I’m saying are not really secret…*Our war is with America and Israel, not with Ethiopia.”
Don’t get me wrong. The US shouldn’t intervene in anything related to water disputes between Egypt or any other country. It’s not our business, and Americans shouldn’t ever be put at risk over the issues of other countries.
Our military should be defensive — not some kind of global referee. Marines, soldiers, airmen, and sailors shouldn’t die over Egyptian politics.
The point, however, is that we shouldn’t be giving F-16s and billions in aid to governments filled with influential politicians calling us “the enemy”.
We shouldn’t be giving support to regimes that attack and oppress their own people.
We shouldn’t be doing this because we don’t have the money, it’s morally wrong, and it’ll backfire in the end.
This should have been obvious years ago. That the feds continue to dump weapons and cash on these foreign governments is incoherent, bad policy, and must end. It’s a question of basic sanity.
What should our policy be towards Egypt? Just like it should be for every country. Be open to trade, but don’t give a dime in “foreign aid”. We can’t afford it and we shouldn’t risk it. It’s that simple.
