Relaxing this evening after making sure we were ready for the storm to hit tomorrow. Lots of snow and 30-50 MPH winds expected - really.
So after conversing about the slate relic, I decided to get my bowl of broken slate relics out of the cabinet.
Here is the bowl, thats a broken wing banner laying in the front. I did not notice it right off, it fell out when I put it on the floor.

Took some out, the top broken wing banner preform and the ganiculate on the right by the pick banner was found the same day a few years back. Those were shown in that post.
Also a broken pipe bow (I think) a few broken pendants, miscellaneous field grade broken relics.
Decided to take closer photo of two special slate relics. This is the beat up and broke off tail of a birdstone and a nose of a box-nosed birdstone. You may ask why I think that. The shape of the nose in 3 dimensions is unquestionable. The tail looks from the front like a broken celt or chisel bit. But from the bottom and side the outline profile of how it narrows, and tapers down is not the same as you would see in a celt or chisel. Both found the same day, in the same field, about 15 feet apart. Also found at that time a very nice complete Harrison county drill about 3 inches long.
