Those of you participating in this hobby already can attest to this: once you start digging up coins, you ALWAYS inspect the spare change you're given from a store, bank, restaurant, etc.

Today, my short park hunt rendered me 13 coins...all clad. My stop for a breakfast sandwich on the way into work, netted me a 1983 one cent coin from Zambia.

Ironic.

Don't spend it all in one place. Rolls of coins are great places to find stuff we don't collect.

I find those foreign coins and first hope it's some ancient rare valuable coin lol

I don't know, Aardvarks are rare, right?

You are right, I check every coin that comes into my hand. Its just natural as a coin collector or metal detecting hobbyist. Nice pocket change find.

Nice unusual specimen. A few weeks ago a "penny" in my change was a 1966 Un Centesimo from the Republica de Panama.

Very interesting African coin that you don't see too often here in the USA. So how much does a Zimbabwe? Kenya tell me? Sub :tongue3:

Only 99 more ngwees and you'll have a kwacha. And 1,000 kwachas equal $0.08.
