It has been a while since I made a find worth posting but this one is worth the typing! I had to travel for work today and I took the opportunity to hit some not-local banks that I have had some luck with in the past. 4 banks in total and they all had halves and two of them yielded silver! Pretty good odds.
Bank 1: 6 CWR and some teller tray coins. 1 silver from the tray and 25 from the rolls!!! One roll had 1 on the end that I saw upon opening. The next roll had 19! Almost a whole roll save one bicentennial coin. The next roll had 5 silver. What a great find! I was a little worried because all the rolls were teller stamped which is rare for me to find so I knew at least two people had seen the coins inside. Also got an Ike here.
Bank 2: couple dollars in loose, skunk.
Bank 3: couple dollars in loose, 1 silver.
Bank 4: $180 in CWR and some loose, skunk.
1964: 1
1966: 1
1967: 8
1968: 11
1969: 6
4.2 ounces silver. $120 at today's bid not counting the quarter.
The quarter I found yesterday in change collected from coin-op laundry machines. I love the quarters!
