Lokks like some gold dredging going on, ever done any relic dredgin?

Things turn up while I dredge once in a while... When I'm running low and slow for fine gold I have found some silver dimes and a wheaty once in a while.. Nails, lots of em', cut mostly and a few hand forged.. Never ran it for relics with the riffles removed and a basket at the end of the sluice....

try just replacin the riffles with 1 inch or more riffles add the basket, got to a swimming hole and watch the coins bounce. (and rings)

Some of us dredge in the creeks and rivers in Indiana... Chuck has informal get togethers duing the summer.. Lots of fun!! So send him a email about prospecting here in the midwest and ask him to drop you a line if theres a get together.. If and when the water warms up and we go out to play I'll drop you a line...

Nice gold, the only thing I would find panning in my area is a geode!

I would only find sand, Magnetite/black sand and some unidentified metal... 8)
