The two best in my opinion would be the ACE 250 or the Tesoro Silver.

Had them both and the Ace is an ok detector and the Tesoro Silver µMax is a great detector. There is also a Fisher F2/White's Coinmaster/Teknetics Alpha all in that price range.

I thought about becoming a Tesoro dealer my self, but just too busy on the farm to do it. No fear selling them Minton as long as there is good ole boys like me telling everyone how good they are. I bet I have sold more Silver µMax's on the forums than alot of dealers, by telling how good of a machine it is. Steve.
