Hello All. I found this at a 1900's RR station site. The knob end is not magnetic.

Googled "W. & H. Walker" and see they were like the Wal-Mart of the day, I guess. Their catalogs are all over the internet but it appears they sold everything from clothing to furniture to medicines so I am at a loss as to what this went to.

Any ideas are appreciated and good luck out there. C9

I think it is a perfume bottle top ... similar to this one
Walker had his own perfume line.

I would have said headlight switch with dash light dimmer control. It might help to post a pic of the reverse side cleaned. Then we might be able to see if it is mechanical or electrical.

I'm with mudhut.it tip can be opened and/or the cork is holed through to tip it would be definitive

Wow that a cool find. While I agree that Mud Hut probably has it but I question why it has knurling in 2 places which is usually to grip and turn. Get an old catalog and search through it. Did they make radios?

Vending machine sounds good at a train station. An automobile dash dimmer switch would not have the Walker name on it. Maybe an electric lamp switch.

W&H Walker Company of Pittsburg Pennsylvania manurfactured just about anything and everything you could find in a General and Department store from the late 1800's to the early 1900's from Clothing and home furnishings to glass and perfumes
