William B. Riker of 122 West Seventy-fourth Street, the druggist who formerly was in business at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Twenty-second Street, but who has no place of business now, has filed a petition in bankruptcy with liabilities $192,841 and assets $8,790, in debts due him

NEWARK, N.J., Dec. 23 1896
-- Andrew J. Riker of Maplewood was committed to jail to-day at that place in default of $6,000 bail. He is accused by his brother, William B. Riker, formerly a druggist doing business at Sixth Avenue and Twenty-second Street, New York, but now living in retirement at East Portchester, Conn., with fraudulently retaining possession of an estate aggregating $156,000 conveyed to him in trust by the complainant.
