Track & field 4 x 100 meter relay 1st place medal with Greek mythology on the obverse. I believe the obverse represents ( The Olympic Games ) with the goddess Athena in the chariot with her helmet on, carrying a sword and holding an owl on her out stretched hand. Also a solider handling three horses depicting the chariot races in the competition during the games.

Although all the information is on the medal I have not been able to find the where & who ( as in team ).

1928 track & field events and W.A.C. I have found online:

- 1928 summer Olympic games in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Womens 1st place - Canada
Mens 1st place - USA

- 1928 Summer Student World Championship Paris France

1st place - Germany

- W.A.C. - Wiener Athietiksport Club in Vienna Austria ? (Mainly known for it's football team)

- Trials for the 1928 summer Olympics were held in many countries.

For me this is a great medal especially with the Greek mythology design on the obverse and being a 1st place medal it would be nice to solve the mystery of this medal.

Any information regarding this medal is appreciated, thanks in advance to all.................

Not Athena.

Ancient symbol of victory is Nike with a crown of bay leaves for the winner.

I can only guess, but I think W.A.C. stands for W________ Athletic Club.

I dont know how to copy and paste on an iPad. My instructions were for a home computer. The only reason I said anything is because you asked for help on another thread. Im sure someone here can tell you how.

Do you know how to copy and paste? I think you just hold your finger down on a blank part of the screen or better yet try to hold your finger down on the url. The url should be near the top. Its the part that begins with www. or http// and usually ends in .com, .org or something similar

You must be like me. We never had computers in school.

Copy and Paste is a very common term. It basically means you are coppying something from the internet and putting it (pasting it) somewhere else. You could write out the entire url and that would work too but its too time consuming.

This website page is TreasureNet I typed the url by hand and it should work. (www. treasurenet. com)

But to type the url on this page is a lot more work. www.treasurenet.com/forums/what/501813-w-c-1928-medal-unknown-history.html I just typed this by hand. www. treasurenet.com/forums/what/501813-w-c-1928-medal-unknown-history. html [/url]

Its a lot easier to copy and paste. It also prevents mistakes. You could copy and paste an entire page or picture. But i dont know anything about an iPad.

There's a thing at the top right of this page and if I tap on it I get: reply, share, unsubscribe, web view, refresh. Theres nothing else except the back arrow on the left.

Yes I think if you click on share you can save it to clipboard. Then press again in TN to paste it. But you have to copy it first by highlighting the words you wish to copy.

Does anybody have an iPad that can give better instructions? Im sorry Bruce I am just not too good with celphon copy and paste but I think if you clic on share that will save it and you can paste it somewhere else.

If you had WIFI in your home I could give you instructions for copy and paste on a home computer.
