Hi teeter,
No they do not come twisted from the factory. Is the head a bit loose? It probably got "tweaked" a bit during transportation in a trunk or something similar.

Nope, its tight.... I tried twisting just the top head of it with a little amount of force (don't want to over due it and break something); couldn't get it back to where it belongs.. Back of display looks like it requires a special screwdriver... Now I got to make a decision on whether to get my $700 back or send it back to Whites... Thanks... I knew it didn't look right....

It sure won't hurt anything but it's personal preference for sure. Maybe you did find a way to stop the glare on the screen! :)

Hey Rob, You're right about the glare... Talked with someone at Whites and I guess there are people that take the display off and bend the tab so its facing more towards them.. I guess one of the people that owned this one was a lefty.. Anyway got it back straight. Now the fun of learning a different detector since owning several minelabs....

Good job teeter! Your going to love the Vx3. Good luck!

I am a righty and I bent mine on purpose to suit me, just don`t twist the pod, take it off and twist the bracket with a cresent wrench to suit your viewing angle.

Hmmm, oddly enough, my NEW VX3 was the same way. It is still under warranty and i sent it back for "repair". My local dealer who helped me purchase it was SUPPOSED to help me get it sent in. I ended up doing it myself. It came back "less bent" than when it went in. Useable, but less bent.
