I went to a old spot I've been hunting yesterday. Finds are slim at this place but it gives up some keepers just about every time I hunt it. The farmer cleared off a fence row at the end of the one field so I said what the heck let's check it out. I'm glad I did. I dug a button there & didn't really know what it was. I had an idea that it was a Virginia button. I got home & cleaned it a little. It was falling apart as soon as I got it out of the ground. So no messing with it in the field. To my surprise it's a VMI cadet button. The ground at this spot is bad as any I hunt. This is the first button I've found there. The spot is a hospital & wagon park for AP HILL's corps during Gettysburg. Thanks for looking HH Tim

That's a sweet find in any condition! Buttons in good shape are getting harder to find. Won't be hardly any left in a few years. Congrats on saving that one.

HH, RN

I Agree with RN , A great find in any shape & you can def, tell what it is.

I ordered the G2 on Friday , (Could not beat the package deal) IMO

Great save on the VMI Cadet Button. A rare find and another piece of American History Saved! This will look so cool added to your collection.
