Hey hey diggers! ( bon jour excavateurs !)
I just got back from the fields and was cleaning up some finds from today. I had a few bits and pieces in the keeper box today, couple of coins , a relic, and a piece of jewelry.
A couple of toasty coppers but in the mix today were two French coins but they came from two separate fields very far from each other. On Monday (if you remember) I found a 1954 100 francs coin, and today two different cinq centimes one from 1854 and other 1912...so three French coins this week all from different eras and different places.
Really fun finds that I didnt see coming at all.
Today's other neat saves included a seldom seen Nova Scotia half cent 1861, a nice little nesting trade weight with WR over a crown ( King William lV I presume)and my silver for the hunt ..a busted ring with a red stone.
Wonder where the coins will be coming from next week?
