I know what this is, but haven't a clue as to approximate date it was made, or what type volunteerism it was awarded for. Any help very much appreciated! Jack.

is that a 1912 under the makers mark?

Is that a date on the back or does it say 10k? Also can't make out the B in Bastian. What does it look like?
This piece was made sometime after 1895, but the way it looks to me, probably early to mid 1900's.
