Oddity of the day is this Virginia state seal token? Coin uhhhhhh thingy! Rang up 25 on The equinox appears to be aluminum . I did some research and found everything with the Virginia state seal on it but a token. Nothing on the back at all , roughly the size of a quarter. I did see that the image and outer border has changed slightly over the years and this one seems to look like the 1776-1894 design? Just wondering if anyone ever run upon something like this or have any idea on time frame or better ID. Thanks everyone

This one has been driving me crazy ! Did find an example that refers to this as a thirteen colonies token , however it shows them as brass. I have not been able to find anything else on this token .

Now that's a different one (as not posted up before), congrats
You think it's Aluminum but if the minting date of these tokens is correct it kind of throws the alum. theory out the window.
Might want to look more into German Silver/white metal composite.
Query: Has it got some weight to it?

I think you are correct I compared it weight wise to a Sunoco token of a kit the same size and it weighs more not silver quarter weight but definitely more. Also when I drop it on the table it has a bit of that silver “ting” unlike the Sunoco . I still can’t find a time frame from when it was minted ?

I had that date on the site link, I'll see if I can find it again.

It’s obviously aluminum since German silver and “white metal” degrade severely underground. Could we see a photo of the back?
