My buddy and I decided to do some swinging up around Virginia City today. It's a tough place to hunt with thick vegetation and very steep terrain.
We managed to find a few goodies including my oldest coin by far!

Items I found included a Colt SAA revolver back strap (I have it in the electrolysis tank now so check back to see it cleaned up), some pipe stems, part of a croatal bell, a .41 rimfire shell casing, a big cast iron handle from ?, various buttons including what I think is one from doll clothing, some clothing fasteners, a cash coin (hard to tell what it was before elecrolysis), and what I believe to be a 50 cent script. The back is plain and it's the same diameter as a half dollar.

Looks to be a coin of Qianlong (1736-1795) from the mint at Chengdu, Sichwuan province.
Dang good fun out there, will be heading back soon!

Nice work
Congratulations

Nice variety. What is the round piece with the 50 on it? Flat military button?

Thanks, I believe it's a 50 cent scrip or token from a local business.

Thanks Jorgeke, I don't usually pick up pieces of broken china but that one really caught my eye.

The Colt back strap and '50' token thing after some cleaning.
