Interesting what is left of a gun. However, I don't believe that has ever seen a day underground. Pot metal deteriorates when exposed for a long time. You don't say a word about how or when it was found. So I am guessing not with a detector.

Threads like this with zero details about how & where an item were found are fairly useless.. Just sayin..
I made basically the same comment on another post by brutalpheasant on a nice foreign coin find.

NOTHING LIKE AN OLE TOY GUN FIND , NEEET .

Holy hell dude.. Nobody said anything about posting fake stuff. Lighten up. People post here ALL the time with flea market finds, garage sale finds, etc. It's NOT just a metal detecting forum. Is it really too much to ask for people to give a small amount of details when they post something ? I doubt that any of us are going to follow you around hoping to steal your top secret playground location... ???

I NEVER called it a fake find. NEVER. Your posts show a picture and no information. Today's finds are for EVERYTHING. Garage Sales, attic finds, thrift store finds, next door neighbors garage finds, etc.

If I erred in saying I didn't think it was underground that was my fault. But since you post a single picture and no story and with the experience I have had with toy guns I assumed it was a different kind of find.

Almost all your posts show a picture and no story. I will apologize for being taken the wrong way. I didn't make any post to even try to break the rules.

Nice. I found one just like it awhile back! [emoji2]

After more thought.

I do agree posts should at least state if they were "found", "Purchased" or pulled out a box of your Past toys :laughing7:

The difference does Matter : Newbies tend to miss this, Oldtimers tend to ignore It :

This is "TODAY'S FINDS"

not today's posts

Please remember this when choosing a spot to post your News stories, Purchases, Questions, best finds from 10 years ago Etc.

it is understandable we do not have a Yesterdays finds or last hunts finds section
so it is OK to post your "finds" from the last time you were out.

but please if you are not posting very recent "Finds"

Look here http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/forum.php and choose the proper location.

IF you still think you need to post here for attention, Expect your post to Disappear

All is good , I'll leave a little description in the future.. Never posted on a forum before so didn't know the edict ..

My bad I thought this was a a metal detector and treasure forum . Don't think I would ever post a broke toy gun I found laying in the street.. I've found all the stuff from the dirt .. I'll post all the info of my finds in the future..

a broke toy gun you found laying in the street would be OK.

I post Road Finds, I spy & pick up while Riding around.

As long as it is "Found" & free to you, & you can haul it Home.
It's fair game.

and of course it must be a Today's find. If you post it in Today's Finds.

If you find a hot girl Sunbathing, I may like a email Pic :laughing7:
but She would not be a Today's Find even if you do hogtie her haul her home

Here is a little sample of my experience with toy guns. Most have been tossed in the trash because they disintegrate. LOL most of these should probably be right with them!
