I worked most of the day but was able to squeeze in maybe a one hour hunt.
As usual, I went back to my pounded field where the targets are few and far between these days.
I started digging some pull tabs, a few old shell caps and other trash and after a little while I got one of those beautiful high hits. About 5-6 inches down I found this beautiful vintage, monogrammed Sterling cufflink.......
I knew it was real immediately although I wasn't sure what it was until I saw the big monogrammed "D" on it. It actually looks like a mirror from a toy car. I did a Google search and it appears to be from the Victorian era. I could be wrong but it looks pretty old to me. If anyone hear can tell me anything I'm all ears. I dig this stuff but still don't know that much about some of it.
I poked around a while longer and dug another 1920 Wheatie and a rusty junk ring with it's stone missing. From the looks of the setting I imagine the stone just had to be nothing less than genuine glass. But, it's ring #62 and it still counts as far as I'm concerned.
The field is really getting hunted out (thanks to me) but the Omega is still sniffing out a few goodies. It seems to really love round objects. I really love it so far. Now I just need a site that actually has some silver coins and I should do okay.
So as usual it got dark and I wrapped it up. It's cold and windy out there this evening but it was a good, impromptu hunt. I walked away with a little old silver, a Wheatie and another ring so that's a good one in my book.
Thanks for looking & HH......
