✅ SOLVED Vintage School Mission Bell?

I pulled this out of the ground - NOT! The wife and I were hitting a yard sale and picked this up for a few bucks. It measures 7" high and the bell is 5 1/2" diameter. It appears to be bronze (cleaning it up as we speak). I found a few that were ID'd as School Mission Bells. Anyone know what it really is and maybe you can figure out the "words" on the bell? Thanks!

Others like it online, marked 1818, are also marked Mexico, which looks possible. Or an alternate spelling, Mejico seems to come up too.

[I'm Hoping]

I have one sitting on the living room floor. I bought mine from the foundry in Mexico City several years ago. It'll clean up real well but you might want to spray it with clear acrylic to prevent tarnishing after you clean it but leave some "color" around the edges of the raised areas.

A quote from a bell forum about a similar bell.

"Hi Bellman, you have a bell that belongs to a group of bells that I have been researching for years. They first appeared in the USA around the 1950s in Chicago. They range in size from 2 inch high to over 18 inches and the dates range from 1806 to 1821. They are still made in at least two locations in Mexico and are big sellers to the tourist trade. The large looping crown is made from bent solid bar and secured to the top of the bell, after the bell was cast. Probably chemicals were put on it to age the surface.
