Today I found my most coins (177!!!! ), most nickels (15, including the pictured war nickel 1943D), and most dimes (19). WOOOHOOO!! Including a 1944S and 1951D wheatie. The old ones were from a park; but the bulk were from a chance encounter with a spot where apparently billions of people have laid down to rest at and coins just jumped out of their pockets (near a big tree near businesses). Also found a class ring I'm not sure about yet, and the cool buttons pictured. But the most hilarious finds were three pull-tabs.
Two are pretty colors (I like to give pulltabs a break and collect them), but in researching the unusual one, it seems it may be a vintage 1960-1964 pulltab! Not sure if this is enough to retire on yet, but I'm on my way to EBay! lol
Also included are an unusually shaped key and a teeny metal gun. I had to quit that awesome spot as I was exhausted and almost hallucinating (about a nine-hour detecting day in total), but it's the most unusually productive spot I've seen yet and probably still has dozens of coins left. Ya never know!
Happy Hunting!
