Vintage ink pen?

Hi everyone,

found this pen from my attic (see pictures). It seems to be some kind of fountain pen, it has "gesetzlich geschützt" written on it, so it is probably from Germany or Austria and it also has .O.W written on top.
Can anyone tell me a little more about this pen?

I assume the W.O. engraved at the end is a wax seal stamp

Hello!,
I think it's a pencil + wax seal combo and not an ink pen with some kind of other features?. I can't find any that compare to yours. Last year I found a sterling pencil for 3 bucks and sold it for $150.00 on eBay...Yours may have some kind of collector value, as there's allot of writing instrument collectors out there.

The gesetzlich geschützt marking indicates that it was a registered design, but not by whom. I notice that, when enlarged, I think there is writing on the opposite side, under a touch of tarnishing.
