Hello to all. I found this vintage metal and glass sign at a garage sale, today. Once at home, I hesitantly and cowardly plugged it in, and it started making a noice. I don't know if it was the bubbler or the bulb. When I bought it, I asked the owner if he had the missing glass piece. He said no, but that if he did, it would be worth ten times what I paid for it. I decided to take a chance and buy it. I put on the back seat of my car. As I was driving home, I made a sudden stop and the sign rolled over. When I got home and went to take the sign out, to my surprise and amazement, the broken glass piece was on the seat. Turns that it had been in there all this time. Should be an easy resto for someone.

Does anyone collect vintage signs, and can tell me the approximate age? The extension cord looks from the 40s. As always thanks for uour opinions and recommendations.
