I have found a small piece of viking silver. I found it yesterday 3 metres from where I found 25 gram silver ingot last November. I always have a good look now and again. I originally found 10 pieces hack silver and including 3 Arabic coins in 1997 in the same area. Field only recently being ploughed again. The recent find was in top layer of soil in the grass roots. It was hardly a signal. It is 10 mm long and weighs 0.5 gram I believe there is more to find but at present it is too deep. I have tried hoard hunter and no joy. The farmer is ploughing in march. I asked Him to do a deeper plough as he said he normally ploughs at 6 inch. On the ingot found last year as seen in my threads it had lighter shade of soil on it and found 1 inch deep. It is 10 inches deep to sub soil and the lighter shade of soil. It was ploughed up from the deep. I am awaiting treasure inquest and it will all go to original hoard I can't believe finds still coming up. Field are never worked out fully . Thanks for looking.

Very cool! We had something similar here with a roman hoard and the farmer stripped the topsoil in two steps. May a deep plow can point you to the exact place.

Very cool, hope you find more.

Now that is awesome! Congrats!
