I think I did quite well this weekend. One garage sale got a Gameboy Advance SP with 3 games for $2 and a DS Lite with 9 games for $2. Next sale I went to they had a black DS Lite with charger and scooby doo decals on it, it looked terrible and when I asked how much she wanted for it she gave it to me free because it doesn't work. Took it home, it does work it's just the charger doesn't so she thought the whole thing was broken.

Couple sales later a lady had a $2 bill out with "make offer" on it as a joke and we got talking about money and I asked her if she had any coins. She recently turned almost all of them in to the bank for face value :BangHead: but she said she had a real old silver dollar with a hole in it. After looking it over I offered her $20 for it, which is $3 over melt but I just felt bad for her and she was really nice and I've been wanting a silver dollar really bad. The hole allowed me to put it on my keychain, replacing the 50 yen coin I had been carrying around. It's an 1880, no mint mark Morgan Dollar, weighs out at 26 grams and it sounds right so I'm confident it's real, I'm quite pleased. I assumed the hole in it destroys any nuministic value right?

At another sale got to talking to an older gentleman about coins, he's in the process of moving up here from New Orleans and he didn't have them with him but he says he's got 40 lbs of silver quarters and since I educated him about their value he's going to give me first crack at them when he brings them up in July.
