Author and activist Mark Dice has a new video out in which his interviewees don’t know what country we declared independence from or even when we signed the Declaration of Independence.

At one point, Dice even gave the answer while phrasing his question and still received the wrong answer.

I didn't even watch this. Just let me say that teaching college history you realize that in 8th they had 1607-1861 and in 11th they had 1861 to the present, They/we know nothing about our nations history, learn nothing, retain nothing and ask interesting questions. I have a couple of assigned texts, but a bunch of our students are extremely poor. So I told them to just go over to the library, find a U,S, history book, check it out for free and keep up by reading that time period. Several asked, " but is it the same material"? Told them no, in some books the British beat us, we lost WWII and America wasn't discovered until 1921...
