Victorian Race Course Grand Stand...

Dad is away & I'm meant to be resting my arm :P

Yesterday I was researching a grass field that I have paid little attention to as its never been ploughed. However, found out it had a race course on the 1880s map with a grand stand. It seemed to go out of use before WWI but no idea when it started

Spent 3 hours in front of the grand stand & got:

3 Georgian Halfpennies in 1 hole - my first Georgian spill - 12"
Couple of other Geo's which makes me wonder if the race course is quite old.
A few Victorian coins
£3.30 spendable change (about $5)
Silver Ring - childs
Spade guinea gaming token - holed
Brass piece with 'Coach Maker' - DUBLIN

Best find WWI Military Capbadge complete with pin & a type I need

So better than resting at home I guess

Man, here in the States we'd be all over a site like that but I keep forgetting the area you're in and the finds you're capable of.

Its an ongoing detecting issue, my back is mostly better, but the 'large coil & sticky mud' have taken there toll over the last few weeks.

Should be some good spots, if you find the area where the bookmakers made book.
i know i have lost a few coins at the track, god a good sunny day at track sounds real nice.
