Thanks for posting Vino and your welcome. Here's a few of my old ones, older than the 1950's for comparison:

Thanks, yep I seen that, but the same ones go back to the 18th century also. But your probably right.
Its just funny, when one target is a 1796 LC, then the next is a 1950s brooch..lol

Wow, I never knew these things existed and they're certainly cool to look at. Here is another similar one that says "Victorian". Guess it'll be hard to nail down an exact date since they've been made since the late 1800's.

I have many pins and brooches that have a simple c catch. Including a half dozen or so Micro mosaic pieces. This does not automatically make them Victorian, sorry.

If you can, can you post some picks of your mosaics one? Love to see.
Thanks

I know we are 5 minutes apart from posting but I was still posting while you were. So although I don't disagree with you we just have a different opinion on this, :). In my eyes it looks Victorian.

Here's the link that those illustrations came from, it has information on dating and detecting counterfit brooches, there are other brooch info sites too:

Notice how they put a date of 1850's on it? The same information given as to the date in Ant's post. Looks like they got their info. from the same place.

If you can, can you post some picks of your mosaics one? Love to see.
Thanks
Here are a few that I have access to at the moment. None of these are too old, a few pill boxes too.

Here is one that is very similar to yours in design layout, albeit different colors. Vintage Micro Mosaic Pin Brooch Italy Round Blue Red Estate Jewelry
