If you have an interest in Antarctic danger and Shackleton's ill fated voyage, you might be interested in this. A team of archaeologists on an ice breaker are using state of the art underwater drones to search the frigid Antarctic waters for Endurance. And because if you are here you most likely aren't there, so the Ivory Tower Powers That Be have graced you with the opportunity to follow along in real time with the 64 member crew of Agulhas II as it searches for Shackleton's lost vessel. You can track their location in real time and watch the streaming of live events. Carefully read the article if you want to follow along because there are at least two different links for the project which by the way, is a $10 million operation. There is even a nifty picture of the Agulhas II, which boasts a pretty badass crane in my opinion. That thing looks like it could dunk Godzilla in the water. There are also some good pics of Endurance and Shackleton's crew, in both good times and bad. Enjoy!

Nice post. Thanks. Enjoyed the Shackleton display of artifacts at the maritime museum at Greenwich.
