I have Terris (Echostar61) rotary drum tumbler she'd got from Harbor Freight (Chicago brand) that she'd lent me to clean some clad. I may have also figured-out a "fix" for the belt problem that seems to be inherent to these tumblers, but I'll save that for another post.
I have another friend who's into Smith-Miller trucks, and he got a vibratory tumbler to polish the aluminum wheels, also a Harbor Freight- Chicago Brand. He has been battling illness, and hasn't had a chance to use it yet and insisted I bring it home to play with.
I've had it a few days & just took it out of the box & plugged it in, as I was curious to see how loud it was, and how bad it'd dance across the table.....lol, it was quiet & stable (of course it was empty). Had anyone ever tried a vibratory tumbler on clad? I'd almost think the coins would all settle at the bottom?
I am however planning to use is for a rust removal "test" on a horseshoe I'd found. Anyone have any experience with one?
