Vibrating Metal Detector

My hearing is getting pretty bad and I would like to get a vibrating device for my detector so instead of headphones, etc. the unit would notify me when there is metal. I know there is one out there a Vibra Phone, I believe, but it does not work with Minelab or Fisher.

Question is, is it possible to make such a device that would work with Minelab x-terra?

The Makro Racer has a vibrating handle. There is also a guy in Oklahoma that made a LED beeper for detectors - it was a series of LEDs that would light on your cap brim when you got a signal. It plugged into the headphone jack.
