Found this today, and really would like for someone to identify it. It is either a coin or a token, but believe it to be silver.
So worn that only one side has any kind of image left, BARELY, but might be enough for someone to ID it.
Measures 11/16" in diameter, and has clearly reeded around the edge, so thinking it is a coin.

Thanks in advance. I know someone will figure this out!

Rather than a crown, I'm seeing more of a family crest or coat of arms shape..

Take the first picture and flip it upside down and it looks like the reverse of a barber dime to me.

I Believe that Arkansawyer has put me on the right track! I flipped the photo and started pulling up photos of all the Barber Dimes to compare, but then went further back into the Seated Liberty Dimes. The Seated Liberty's have relatively the same reverse as the Barbers from 1860-1891!

I believe this coin is a Seated Liberty Dime, dating between 1860 to 1875.

In the blow up of this coin, you can actually make out the letters of "DIME", and the "D" has a very narrow space in the center.
Barber's have a wider space, and so do 1876-1891 Seated's.

I agree with CCDAMEEK

Lets here from others too please! I am no coin expert (or amateur for that matter).

Don't know what's going on, but I can not upload photos 'inline' with the photo uploader at this time. They seem to take like normal, but then never show up in the body while writing the body of text.

:dontknow:

Damn, you all have good eyes! Didn't realize the reverse of those dimes were so similar. Makes you wish you could read the date.
