Very unusual piece of found on old homesite dating back to the 1600's

Hi Everyone,

I recently found this piece while hunting an area that dates back tot he late 1600's. The piece is very conductive but I am not sure of it's material. It appears to possible be some type of jewelry but I can not be sure. Not sure if the picture shows but there are 2 area's that stick out from the piece that were connected somehow. Has anyone seen apiece like this in there travels? Thanks for looking.

If that's a loop I see sticking out of one end, it's probably a necklace pendant. Monty
