There were four neighborhood sales within 10 miles of my house... Yum. I love those. I get to hit several sales, and walk from place to place instead of wasting time driving. Anyhow, one started at 6:30, the others started at 8am. No problem, we hit the 6:30 am at EXACTLY 6:15. The neighborhood was a bit run down. Over the next hour and a half, we hit about 30 garage sales, and only was able to find bits and Pieces. I bought a new cranium board game. I paid $1, and should easily get $20. I also bought a new Logitech Wireless keyboard/ Mouse set. Paid $10, listed it on Amazon for $69.99 (about $8 less than the second best price). The next set of sales was in an upscale gated community. VERY nice homes. Got there at 7:55 and were first in line for the opening of the gates at 8:00. The gates opened, and we hit sale after sale. again, 30 or 40 sales in a nice upscale community, but very little to buy. Bits and Pieces. Nothing collectible. A nice Iphone case for $1 that should bring in $15. VERY nice shop vac for my wife (she is very handy, I am not) Paid $20. Finally, the big deal. A nice neighborhood with 400 homes, and over 100 garage sales! Park and walk, park and walk. Found a nice wireless speaker, never used, box is a bit crumpled. Paid $5, lowest used price was $100 on Amazon, so I dropped it in just under the used price for NEW speakers (in the crushed box). I found a box of 31 old cell phones. Remembering the people online who recycle them, I offered $5 for the box. Had to settle at $7. I've already pulled the batteries and backs. I need to find a good recycler for the phones. Any help? I have about 40 ready to ship now.

Considering I stopped in at nearly 200 Garage sales, I got remarkably few items. About 8 new Amazon items. Nothing special (just profitable).

The best thing, a couple of weeks ago, I bought a Jan Shakelford Doll as a guess. Paid about $2. Only thing similar is on ebay now for $399.

Like that...

Wow sounds like a good weekend. It sucked over here for me in my area I hit around 8 estate sales (only 1 was actually worth it) and 7 garage sales and got nothing. Sucks because the town-wide garage sale is next week but I will be out of town =(.

Always fun - looking for the next earth breaking find dejapooh. Thanks for sharing...

Before I moved, thats how it was for me. There were sales upon sales upon sales to be had. I could easily hit 30-50 sales in one Saturday, all before lunch.

Now I am lucky to hit a dozen in a day. The finds are still the same, thankfully.
