Very short MD trip & no pics
Fearless leader reminded me I had not been out detecting in a while.
Whew! I must be out of practice!
Went to a nice family park within a mile of the house and worked the volleyball court.
Gosh! It was almost as if a club held annual practice there!
I almost got skunked!
Took my little homemade sandscoop... got A pull tab, A penny, A bottle cap, and A bit of foil.
I was using my very dependable Tesoro Silver Sabre uMax with clean sweep 3 x 18 coil, so I'm sure
nothing was missed, considering I got a spread from foil to Ptab.
It was all over!
So I went over to the sandy totlot to search around the playground toys.
...Nearly got blanked there!
Found a dime, a foil juice bag, and a flash-coated plastic fob with a cross on one side, and praying hands on the other. The fob was the size of a poker chip and there was no way I could get it to register on my detector. It sure looks shiny and metallic gold!
I just can't imagine how they can coat these things so thin that they won't register when a bit of foil does!
All told, it was a real nice little break, at the park. Just about perfect weather. 72* and pretty blue sky!
