After my recovery from a hard days dig yesterday I went to the field I was doing on Friday. Problem was I didn't check the forecast & thought it was going to be like the sunny day we had yesterday. Well it poured down with freezing rain & a strong wind which I detect though until I was completely soaked through & the clay was becoming difficult to walk on.

Only did 2 hours but pleased with the 4 scrappies, as it all helps toward this year more challenging target (600).

2 Lead Cloth Seals
2 Lead Tokens
17th Century Token - poor
Medieval Buckle
Musicians Badge (Pin)

Better than a beer in front of the TV

Quite pleased with it in that condition from a ploughed field. I think its about 1900-1920.

Wow, that's quite a nice haul for a few hours out. That field sure has a wide variety of items which sure must make it fun to hunt.

I'm a bit confused Crusader :icon_scratch: how were you completly soaked through :icon_scratch: surely you have full waterproof clothing :icon_scratch: two years ago I went detecting in simular conditions on a very productive field without protective clothing apart from the coat, I think it was the coldest I have ever been and had to constantly go back to the car for a warm. Now I can go in any weather for as long as I like and still be warm, spend a few quid you tight wad :D :D

I have a waterproof that is not so waterproof anymore. If I think its going to rain, I take more gear. I was thinking sun.
