I went to a Local Ballfield for a Little while
this morning.
All I found was 57 Cents in clad

And this Dog ID.

It is definately old enough, I'd say the Dog is
Long Dead.

I'm thinking of Sticking it in an Envelope with a Short Note
of where it was Found along with One of my Cards.

Would You stick it in The Mail ?
Are Dog Owners Sentimental about Long Dead Dogs ?

Send them a letter and ask if they want it back, if so send it. I have yet to find one, but Baldinboy has found three or four of them. I think they are cool. :)

I don't know about that. I think I would leave well enough alone. Good find though.

Prolly were they buried the dog, Jeff, they's be pissed. ;D

I'd call that number first, they may have moved.

I found a heart shaped one around Dec/Jan and called. The owner definately wanted it back. I'd give them a call. I'm pretty sure they'd like it back, especially if the dog has passed.

ROFL :D

If maybe they Buried it Between the Pitchers Mound
& Home Plate :D

??? What's to question? If it were my dog and it had passed, you bet I'd want that tag back. HH Jeff

Just Put it in an Envelope.

Not going to Call.
Rather make it a Surprise.

Hopefully the Address is still Good & Ray is still Around.

My Return address is on the Envalope if not.

Will Update IF I hear back.

I'da called. :D But..maybe it'll be the right folks and they will be so happy, they'll invite you over to hunt! ;D

I found one last year with the owner's name and a REALLY old phone number. I asked the owner of the land if he knew who it was and he said yes. That's how I met Ms. Flossie. :) It was from one of her husband's hunting dogs back in the day.

Neat find! Congrats! Nana :)

Are Dog Owners Sentimental about Long Dead Dogs ?) Yes, because dogs usually become part of the family with many fond memories. If nothing else, it would take the dog owner down memory lane for a bit.

I found one quite a few years ago and I knew the people on the tag. I took it to them and they were very glad to get it back. Their dog had died a few years back but you could tell they had very fond memories of that dog. I think you have done a nice thing...Way to go there

OOPS ! Hopefully they either Forward or
Return it to Me so I can Resend.

I sort of Figured the Phone # would no longer be good.
Not knowing if he was a Kid when he had the Dog,
I wasn't real sure of the address either.

Bethel is fairly Small Town, SO The P.O. should know him.

THANKS GYPSY !
