Stopped by a park on my way home from out of town job. Only had an hour and a half to hunt. Set my sights on an area between the bathrooms and picnic shelter since that is usually a high traffic area. I walked a grid over the area trying to scan every inch. It wasn't long before I realized I had chosen the right area. The barber dime was my first good find and then good signals started popping out all around there. They were all at least 6 inches down except for ring/necklace and there were a lot of roots so it was tough retrieving them. There are so many surface clad coins and modern trash you really have to slow down and listen for the deeper softer high tones but once I tuned my ears to them it was like perfect signs jumping out at me. Thanks for looking! IMG_20191009_083904_883.jpgIMG_20191009_083904_884.jpg20191008_181434.jpg20191008_181444.jpg20191008_154809.jpg20191008_182300.jpg

Great finds.:icon_thumright:

Nice finds! Did the bathroom and picnic shelter date back to the turn of the last century?

Sometimes you just need to tune your hearing. As someone who has perfect pitch, this can be an asset.

Nice finds.

Very nice token!!! It looks in great shape. Nice picture of the building to tie it to also. It might look nice in a small frame with the picture!!! There is probably more at that site!!!

Bathrooms are newer but picnic shelter was there in 1952. That's the oldest info I have on area. Town was established in 1850s though.
