very nice site for locating old schools and merchants

i found this today ,,,you choose your spot and magnify it.I located all kinds of old schools and merchants in my area.I really liked some of them because they have a list of contents and define what each merchant sold and collected,,,silverware,,,tin,,iron and a bunch of great info.I didnt have to pay anything to view the maps either so dont let the homepage scare ya off...they mention some $30 for membership fee but i havent needed that yet.and its all in old text and enjoyable to read.good luck...http://www.historicmapworks.com/
